How the Leadership Alignment Diagnostic Works

Deciphir Lens is a free leadership diagnostic built to help executive teams uncover misalignment, conflicting priorities, weak accountability, and the hidden friction slowing decisions and execution down.

Why teams become misaligned

Leadership teams rarely become misaligned overnight.

Misalignment usually builds in stages - quietly at first, then more visibly, until the business starts absorbing the cost.

It starts quietly Priorities shift, but nobody clearly resets what matters most.
Standards drift Different leaders start using different standards for success.
False confidence Teams assume they are aligned because nobody is openly disagreeing.
Friction spreads Decisions slow, meetings drag, and accountability gets less clear.
Wrong problem blamed Blamed on execution, usually caused by leadership misalignment.
When it becomes obvious Everything could feel fine, even while the business is fractured.

What the report includes

The report highlights where leadership misalignment exists

Deciphir Lens is designed to show more than whether leaders generally agree. It helps reveal where leadership teams are aligned, where they are split, and where hidden risk may be building beneath the surface.

Instead of giving you a vague summary, the report isolates the pressure points most likely to be slowing decisions, distorting priorities, and weakening follow-through across the business.

Breakdown of the leadership diagnostic report
Who it is for

Built for leadership teams feeling pressure before they can fully explain it

This diagnostic is most useful when the business is still operating, but something underneath is starting to drift. Decisions feel heavier, priorities are less clear, and execution starts absorbing the cost.

Growing businesses

When leaders are beginning to pull in different directions, even though the business still looks functional on the surface.

Founder-led companies

When scale is increasing but clarity, consistency, and alignment are getting harder to hold across the leadership group.

Executive teams under strain

When slow decisions, mixed priorities, unclear accountability, and poor follow-through are starting to create drag across the business.

Periods of change

During growth, restructure, leadership transition, or rising operational pressure, when the cost of misalignment becomes harder to absorb.

View common questions and answers

What happens after I invite participants?

Each participant receives their own unique link to complete the diagnostic privately. Once enough responses are submitted (or at the 24 hour amrk), the organiser receives the report automatically.

Can participants see each other's responses?

No. All responses are private and neither organisers nor participants cannot see each other's answers.

What if only one person completes it?

At least two completed responses are required to generate a useful report. If only one person responds, the organiser will be notified that there were not enough responses.

Can I include myself in the diagnostic?

Yes. The organiser can choose to include themselves as a participant when setting up the diagnostic.

How long do participants have to complete it?

24 hours. We look at it simply, 24 hours to particpate in a 8 minute diagnostic is plenty of time, if people miss the window, that in itself highlights a potential issue.

Can I run it again later?

Yes. Many teams we work with rerun the diagnostic monthly to track in real-time whether leadership alignment is improving, holding, or slipping. That's how you measure impact of change.
